Challenges vs. Opportunities: Rooftop Solar in the Carolinas
The commercial and residential solar industry has become a strong component of the robust clean energy economy in North Carolina. The industry has continued to grow year over year, with increased demand from corporations and homeowners alike across the state. While that growth has been strong and steady, we still face a number of challenges that hinders the industry from reaching its full potential—issues that involve HOAs, industry bad actors, and financial compensation structures. In this webinar, we’ll discuss these challenges and the work that NCSEA and other clean energy advocates are undertaking to address some of them. We’ll also talk about some of the biggest opportunities for the rooftop solar industry in both Carolinas, including the recent solar choice net metering settlement in South Carolina as well as the growth in the residential storage market.
